What is Offline Bot & How to Set Up
Use Case: To guide users on how to set up the offline bot in ChatDaddy.
What is an Offline Bot?
Offline Bot is a feature wherein during the time range you set(could be your off hours), no matter what kind of messages your clients send, your WhatsApp will auto-reply with the message you set.
How to turn on/off offline bot (steps)
Click on the button on the just beside “Enabled” under “Settings”.
How to set up an Offline Bot
Step 1
Hover your cursor on the left navigation bar, then click on “Offline Bot”.
Step 2
Click on “Select Offline Message Flow”.
Click on the “Use this flow” on the existing flows to use existing flows. If you want to create your own reply, click on “Create New Flow”.
Step 3
Select the channel from which the offline bot will be sent (allow multiple selections).
Step 4
Select your preferred trigger frequency.
Limit Trigger Frequency - Set conditions to how often offline message flow is triggered.
Choose “Limited” if you want your message to be triggered within your chosen interval.
Choose “No Limit” if you want your message to be triggered automatically.
Step 5
Set hours of operation for your business (So that the offline bot will respond outside of this hour):
This settings allows you to set the operating time of your business at the exact same time for the whole week, by default from 8:00pm to 8:00am. (The bot would then respond from 8:00am to 8:00pm)
When turned on, you will be able to set the default operating time for the whole week in just one click:
When turned off, you have to manually input your preferred time to use the Offline bot:
You can click on the “Copy” icon to copy the time setting to other days to prevent repeating the steps.
Step 6 For the Advanced Settings:
When enabled, the chat will be marked as read when the offline bot is triggered.
When disabled, the chat will be kept unread even when the offline bot is triggered.
When enabled, the message reply will be replied to group chats.
When disabled, the message reply will not be replied to group chats.
When enabled, it will cancel all following messages scheduled in the Flow if the client responds to any of the messages.
When disabled, it will not cancel all following messages scheduled in the Flow if client responds to any of the messaged.
When enabled, the offline bot will only be triggered by new contact that message in.
When disabled, the offline bot will be triggered by all contact that message in.
Step 7
Click “Save” to complete.
